The Bobbediest & Flapper Dapperiest Filmed Entertainments of 2011
1) Vidal Sassoon The Movie - the Bob-father gets a loving & fascinating documentary treatment, and rightfully so, as he single-handedly ushered in the next generation of bob cuts, during the swinging 60s of London!
2) Prohibition - Ken Burns’ doc speaks-easy about the liberation of women, and even includes a Colleen Moore Flaming Youth cameo!
3) Submarine - paging Yasmin Paige / Jordana Bevan and her AWESOME bob that breaks hearts!!
4) In Time - terrible movie, but there’s no denying Amanda Seyfried’s bob wig’s bobbocity!
5) Boardwalk Empire - not nearly enough sleek bob action four our tastes, but there’s endless amounts of 20s glitz & glamour! Gretchen Mol & the other ladies melted our TV screens week after week!
6) The Artist - Peppy Miller (Bérénice Bejo) is peppy le beau-tiful
7) Midnight In Paris - made everyone long for the past, and is probably the best movie on this list
8) Hugo - Louise Brooks in 3-D (sorta), and Chloë Moretz is just beyond adorable!
9) J Edgar - Mr Hoover rubbed shoulders with the likes of Ginger Rogers, Anita Colby and even Shirley Temple, but preferred the shoulders of his right hand man Clyde Tolson

finally got around to seeing Hugo. loved loved loved the love for Georges Méliès, his backstory & the origins of cinema (Lulu! Buster!), but could have done without about 1/2 of the kiddie stuff. still, any movie co-starring Emily Mortimer is probably worth seeing, and this is no exception! she’s so darling!

we liked The Artist, but didn’t love it. probably cause there were little to no ‘dutch boy’ bobs on the ladies’ heads. still, for all you lovers of silence out there, this one’s for you! and Uggie the Dog is a shoe-in at the Dog Oscars!!
