WC Fields showers/flowers attention on Louise Brooks in 1926’s It’s The Old Army Game

aka the movie that gave birth to these gifs we made!

tonight we took in the silent delight that was 1926’s It’s the Old Army Game, as a part of The Film Forum’s salute to WC Fields.  Fields played a drug store owner named Elmer Prettywillie.  guess who played his assistant?  guessing over, cause it was LOUISE BROOKS!!!  WOW, what a rare and fine pairing of one of cinema’s most funniest men and one of it’s most sexiest women!!  The two had previously appeared together in the 1925 Ziegfeld Follies

in the above clip, a man (William Gaxton) instantly falls in love with our Lulu at first sight.  she plays it as coy as coy can be!!
